I've spent a lot of my life in higher education in the US and the UK as both a student and a professional. I've traveled worldwide doing recruitment, admissions, lectures, workshops, and strategic planning to promote educational partnerships at a senior level, as well as one on one with students navigating the application process, and with advisors and universities providing training, and supporting their priorities.
For nearly twenty years I've made higher education my passion, but also my canvas - creating two degrees that spanned academia and industry, thinking outside of the box for promotion, partnership, and admission, honing the craft of story, entrepreneurship, and innovation to grow as a person, as a professional, an academic, and as a guide.
I'm American myself, and I started working in admissions as a student in the US. I then did two degrees in the UK (MA, PhD), and worked in recruitment and admissions for more than a decade after at Bangor University. After that, I was the Market Development Manager for the US and Canada with Global Wales/Study in Wales for nearly five years, supporting the Welsh universities in their recruitment and admissions work, attending and presenting at various conferences (NACAC, IECA, HECA, Idealist, NAFSA), offering guidance, training, and support to students, advisors, and parents.
Now as a consultant, I've yet to have a client not have a place to go for their educational dreams. They've all been accepted to the schools we've found together as options for their study.
For students: Whether it's a quick chat or engagement for your full application journey, I can help you find fitting universities, navigate the application process, and build your personal statement. I can also help with PG research proposals, connecting with universities and faculty, and exploring life in the UK.
For Advisors: I can provide individual or group training on education in the UK, admissions processes and UK life, I can assist in putting together comprehensive tours, and offer university introductions. I can be an asset to your practice as an 'add on' service, or incorporated into your package offerings, as well as an hourly referral option. This is an excellent, affordable possibility for students considering higher education.
For Universities and organisations: I can help clarify your entry requirements, train admissions staff, consult on strategy and engagement, provide research and reports, guide recruitment, or assist with trip coverage and partnership development.
