Hello! I'm Dr Maggie Parke. I'm from the US originally, and I came to the UK for my master's and my PhD. I have now worked in UK university admissions, recruitment, research, and partnership development for nearly 20 years.

My professional life in bullet points:

• 2005: I moved to the UK to do my Master's.
• 2007-2018: I continued onto a PhD at Bangor University, working in the international office, where I became Country Manager for the Americas for more than a decade.
• 2018-2023: Market Manager for North America with Global Wales/Study in Wales.
• 2023: I went independent, and now consult with students, universities, and organisations. Roles include:
  • Specialist Consultant with the Fulbright Commission (Nov 23 - present)
  • Specialist Consultant for the British Council - North America at the UK Embassy in Washington, D.C. (Jan 24 - Jan 25)
